The Frontenac Grape is a cultivar originating at the University of Minnesota. It
a cross between vitis ripara and Landot 4511 (itself a complex French-America hybrid).
It makes a deeply purple red wine with a high acidity which has to be
dealt with during vinification.
Lindon Wine’s Frontenac Dry is a dry wine with black cherry notes.
It pairs well with hearty foods, blue cheese, & dark chocolate.
Lindon Wine’s Frontenac Off Dry (red label) has the same qualities as the dry but is
finished just slightly sweeter.
